John Glen DiGuiseppe

CEO and Founder

From IHM’s inception, DiGuiseppe was deluged with invitations to speak at The Lodging Conference, Green West Expo, Green Hospitality Conference, Midwest Lodging Summit, and BITAC. DiGuiseppe became a frequent interviewee for Hotel Interactive, HOTELS, Lodging, Lodging Hospitality, TerraCurve, Hotel Chatter and an abundance of online trade media.

IHM captured opportunities for business development by counseling clients in revenue management, green certification, online booking and hotel management contracts for resorts, business and economy hotels and independent brands. DiGuiseppe was recognized by Lodging magazine as an “industry innovator of 2009”, and IHM’s legacy in sustainable design, environmental sensitivity in FFE procurement, selection and vendor relationship dialogue blended its strategic revenue management offerings with building optimal client relationships.

Always looking forward, DiGuiseppe now focuses upon the “stewardship” aspect of IHM’s mantra to provide his clients with addressing the ultimate question of sustainability: fiduciary accountability and viable business models.

Even more importantly, as a hotel operator/manager he has the capacity to maximize cash flow and return on investment for his clients’ properties, which in turn increase the value.

DiGuiseppe and family have lived in Westlake Village, California for 30 years and holds a Juris Doctor from Abraham Lincoln University of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Northridge.

Sean Kane

COO and Founder

As Chief Operating Officer and Founder, Kane brings 30+ years of experience in the hospitality industry with areas of expertise including: Multi-Unit P&L Management, Casino hotel marketing and management consulting, Independent & Franchise Quality Assurance strategies, Competitive Analysis, Sales & Marketing Strategies, Profit Improvement, Cost Controls, Executive Employee, and Team Development.

Developed proprietary hotel E-Marketing and ORM- Online Reputation Management program.

Previous hospitality industry experience included Regional Director for American Hotel Motel Brokers ~ AHMB in Phoenix, AZ managing the company’s fifteen national and international regions. Brokered the sale and purchase of hotel properties, overseeing the full cycle of sales including preparation of financials, creation of marketing documents, price determination, agreement negotiations, financing terms and conditions, escrow requirements and subsequent transfer. Vice President of Operations for Papago Hotels in Scottsdale Arizona. Educational background in business and political science at the University of Southern Maine

Tony Averitt

VP of Casino Marketing

Averitt started out in Real Estate, receiving his Texas real estate broker’s license and opening Averitt and Associates, a real estate development and design building construction management company. He owned and operated several entertainment venues, in which was followed by joining Jenkins Group in 1995 as part of the Senior Management Team that developed seven gaming casino properties in Arizona and California. Averitt has most recently been the Executive Director of Marketing for Casino Del Sol Resort.

Specializing in marketing, public relations and group sales for over 25 years, Averitt focuses on brand development, building market relationships and creating strong advertising creative, along with a low key sales approach and providing this needed component for new business development and growth.

Averitt has successful and proven strategies that increase budget ROI, has managed budgets up to 25 million annually, and has increased revenues at every property. He has a unique ability to assess market demands and motivates to create exciting advertising and promotional packaging, specific to entertainment and gaming, while creating business to business packaging for casino entertainment to compliment overall market destination.

George Von Salm

VP/Director of Operations

Seasoned Director of Operations with over 10 years of Experience.

Expert in Renovating, Repositioning and Re-establishing with multi-unit operations
“Hands On” working experience with independent, full-service, upscale, Boutique Resort/Destination Properties. Experienced with limited, full-service, branded properties (IHG, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plazas, Sheraton, Hilton, Wyndham, and Best Western).

Extensive worldwide experience as a Chef, Director of Catering, Director of Food Beverage, General Manager and Director of Operations.

von Salm is European trained with extensive education and training including: Michigan State University, Hotel Trade School in Austria, Hotel Catering Institutional Management Association in the UK, Ecole Hoteliers in Switzerland, Vocational and Technical School in France. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), a Certified Food & Beverage Executive (CFBE), has a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is trained in Culinary and Kitchen Training (CECH).
